Giveon, a city for Kohanim in the tribal territory of Binyamin, had been a Hivite city.

Currently identified with the Arab village of Al Jib (Y. Schwartz).

• Jews settled in Giveon during the period of the Return to Zion (Nehemiah 3, 7).
