Gei Ben Hinnom is a valley in southwestern Biblical Jerusalem which unites with Nahal (Wadi) Kidron.

• Gei Ben Hinnom demarcates the border between Yehuda and Binyamin (Joshua 15, 8; Joshua 18, 16).
• Kings Ahaz and Menashe are described as having engaged in idol worship (avoda zara) in Gei Ben Hinnom (II Chronicles 28, 3; II Chronicles 33, 6).
• King Yoshiahu put an end to the worship of Molekh that had been occurring at Gei Ben Hinnom (II Kings 23, 10).
• The prophet Yirmiahu prophesied from Gei Ben Hinom about the destruction of Yerushalayim and about the new nickname for the valley: Gei Haharega- Valley of the Killed (Jeremiah 19, 2; Jeremiah 19, 6).
• Yirmiahu also castigated the worship of Molekh that had been happening at Gei Ben Hinnom (Jeremiah 32, 35).
