Yahatza, or Yahatz, is the name of a city where Israel routed the Emorite King Sihon (Numbers 21, 23; Deuteronomy 2, 32).

• Israel's victory over Sihon appears in Yiftach's words about the Ammonite king (Judges 11, 19-21).
• Yahatza is listed among the cities given to the tribe of Reuven (Joshua 13, 18).
• Yahatza became a Levite city (Joshua 13, 18; I Chronicles 6, 63).
• During the monarchic period, Yahatza was ruled by Moav (Isaiah 15, 4; Jeremiah 48, 21-34).
