Summary
Haroshet Haggoyim is located in the northern part of the Land of Israel, in the area of the Kishon.
Identified by Professor Adam Zertal with the village of Al- Ahwat. Another opinion identifies Haroshet Haggoyim with Tel Omer, next to Beit She'arim of today.
- Sisra, the general of King Yavin of Canaan's army, resided in Haroshet Haggoyim and made it the center for his iron chariots (Judges 4, 2-13).
- Barak, the Israelite army general, pursued Sisra's chariot to Haroshet Haggoyim (Judges 4, 16).
- According to B. Mazar, the word "Haroshet" here means "mountain" or forested mountain, referring to the Galilean mountains toward which the enemy chariots fled (Lexicon Mikra'i, M. Soliali, ed.).
