Dealing With Crisis – David Hamelekh as a Model

How does David deal with crisis?
And what can we learn from him about coping in
difficult times?
See this short article that focuses on these questions.

Because you are with me

David is ready to bear the distress because he feels he is not thrown away and abandoned in the world. Even in the most difficult moments, he finds God by his side and knows that there is a solution to his suffering.
About this in a post by Daniel Scherevsky.

The path to victory

What is the path to victory in war?
An examination of the story of Joshua in the war against the Southern Kings will reveal to us the answer.
About this in a post by Rabbi Dr. Shuki Reiss.

The name of the Mashiach

The name of the Mashiach, according to the Midrash,
was created even before the creation of the world, and there is strength in that.
About this in a post by Dr. Iajin Epstein.

The morning will come

Morning will come. Morning will simply come.
Only patience is required of us, patience to endure the darkness with the knowledge that dawn is imminent.
About this in a post by Chani Weinruth z"l

Here is a collection of materials that can be used by classroom teachers (but can be useful to everyone in these trying times):

Because we are brothers

Why did Avram choose to put his life on the line - together with hundreds of his men - to wage war against powerful kings?
Why might he decide to try to save his nephew, Lot, who had already separated himself from him?
See this lesson plan that focuses on these questions

Israel’s Secret Formula for Winning Wars

Is there a "secret formula" that helps Israel win its wars?
A close reading of the story of Joshua's war against the southern kings
will help us answer this question.
See this lesson plan.

Am Yisrael Chai! The “Fake News” Message of the Mesha Stele

Like many others, Mesha, king of Moav, believed that he had destroyed the nation of Israel, even carving his “victory” into a celebratory stone that survived to this day (the “Mesha Stele”). But the people of Israel are eternal. They have survived through the ages while their enemies have been destroyed and forgotten. See this lesson plan
